Sandra W. Loevner

Sandy is a driving force behind  It is as a direct result of her late husband’s experiences as an end-stage kidney failure patient, that Sandy recognized the great need to raise awareness of the many effective treatment options (other than long-term dialysis) available for kidney failure.

Sandy has been involved in fundraising events for 34 years in the Sarasota, Florida area.  Much of her work has been focused on raising funds for healthcare-related organizations, including the American Heart Association, American Cancer Troupe (the fundraising arm of her local American Cancer Society), and Sarasota Memorial Hospital.  She has also served in an advisory capacity to a number of organizations including the Special Olympics, Hospice, Safe Place and Rape Crisis Center, American Jewish Committee, Gulf Coast Zoological Society, and American Juvenile Diabetes Association.

For the past 20 years, Sandy has also volunteered as both an event coordinator and as President of the Board for Florida Winefest & Auction, a not-for-profit corporation which raises funds for local disadvantaged children’s charities.

Over the years, Sandy has been responsible for helping to raise millions of dollars for worthwhile causes.  For her work, she has been honored with more than 12 awards recognizing outstanding contribution and dedication.

Jeff Johnson

Jeff is an accomplished executive with high-caliber general management qualifications gained through hands-on experience in a variety of core business functions, from marketing to operations, in start-up, turn-around and shut-down environments.

He has a proven track record of building high-performance teams that develop adaptive business strategy and execute business plans using an integrated approach that produces superior results for commercial and not-for-profit organizations.  He has experience in multiple market sectors including: financial services; consumer products; telecommunications; federal government; and state and local government.

Jeff has applied this expertise, as Executive Chairman of the Board, to build and guide the development of the National Kidney Center (NKC).  His leadership has been been the force behind bringing together the people, capital, technology, and service offerings that form the foundation for NKC.   On this foundation, NKC has become the leading on-line information and social networking resource for kidney disease patients and their family, friends, care givers, and insurance providers.

Christine Johnson

Christine is a CPA with more than 20 years of experience in the areas of finance and accounting.   Her experience includes 6 years in the audit division of Price Waterhouse, where many of her clients were non-profit organizations.   After leaving the field of public accounting, she spent 9 years as Assistant Vice President of Accounting and CFO for a national non-profit agency.

In addition to overseeing the financial operations of the organization, Christine designed and implemented accounting systems and the related procedures and controls to ensure the accuracy of their financial reports.   As a member of the senior management team, she worked closely with the organization’s Board of Directors and members of the Finance Committee.

Since leaving the full-time workforce to be at home with her school-aged son, she has continued to provide consulting services to several small businesses and non-profit organizations. Christine is excited to serve as a member of the National Kidney Center’s Board of Directors and senior management team and is dedicated to using her financial management skills to further the goals of the organization.

Craig Muczko

Craig is an accomplished software architect and team builder with more than 20 years experience managing custom software development and spearheading numerous technical as well as strategic initiatives in the design, development, and launch of leading-edge web applications.

Craig’s work has supported a range of applications, including membership management, monetary transactions, default mortgage processing, and domain name management.  As an astute, resourceful leader with a steadfast commitment to sound ethics and integrity, Craig demands and delivers excellence.

For the National Kidney Center, Craig has dedicated himself to developing a world-class web site with the power to become an online hub for kidney patients, loved ones and friends to share knowledge and hope.  This involved building a variety of social networking and resource-sharing capabilities, such as personal online journals and the ability to share pictures, resources, and files–all with a fresh, crisp, easy-to-navigate site design.
